I last met Carol in my kitchen together with Adam Woolfit. We were discussing the new Devon Food Book and looking at Adam’s latest creations. Carol was laughing and filled my house with her sunny personality. Carol knew she was not well but you would never have guessed it. As far as she was concerned nothing was going to get in the way of the book. It will surely be one of her many legacies. Although I only met her briefly on this last occasion, she made a great impression on me. She was undoubtedly a great and talented character who will be sadly missed. A great example to us all.
